Simply Elegant Wedding Cake

Smooth frosting with a simple dot pattern and gum paste roses.  Dark Belgian chocolate cake under that bright white frosting!  I really loved the simplicity of this cake.  And yes, flowers are still my favorite thing ever to make!

Mint Green Rose Swirl Wedding Cake

This wedding cake was so gorgeous and simple.  I had help rolling those pretty little pearls and I'm finally getting the smooth frosting down better.  It doesn't take me nearly as long as it used to!  This was for a super deserving couple who've spent way too much time apart due to his service in the military.  Thank you both for your sacrifice and service!!

Little fondant Spiderman for the groom!  There was a lot of Spiderman accents to this beautiful, rustic wedding!

Congratulations Cody and Brittany!  I'm so happy for you both to finally be together!!

Gold and White Chalkboard Wedding Cake

I got to make a giant 5 tiered cake!  And I had to drive it 3 hours to it's destination!!  The most tense 3 hours of my cake life!  I loved making this cake, though!!  It was a special cake to me because it was for a very close family friend.  She's basically a sister to me, and my kids call her their aunt, so it was a treat to make her cake for her!  It was fun taking the bride's ideas and mixing them all together to create something special just for her!

It was fun getting pictures of the cake at it's venue, even though the lighting was a little hard to get good pictures.
Little Batman logo for the groom!
The gorgeous bouquet that I based the flowers off of for the top of the cake.
 Wedding day!!  Pi day!
The adorable proposal at campfire.  The airplane representing the time they spent apart while the groom was out of state.
The first date at Jamba Juice.  Sharing a smoothie as they fell in love!
They met on the dating site Tinder and this is the little logo for that site!
The lights were down and the evening was coming to an end but this image captured the fun sparkles in the cake!  This was probably the absolute best wedding I've been to!  I love you Nicole!!!!  Thank you Nicole and Grant for letting me be a part of your special day!

Shabby Chic Wedding Cake

I have to say, I love making wedding cakes when I get to just go with the 'ideas' of the bride and make something completely her own!  I used the bride's pinterest board of wedding ideas for this cake and it turned out amazingly!  The couple didn't want fondant and I loved doing just butter cream!

Each broach was handmade and completely edible minus the center gem in the darkest flower.  I love this little grouping!
Sugar roses, pearls and gold belted broach.

The groom is a high school track coach so of course he needed a golden running shoe!!  Gum paste laces added just the right touch!
I really love making sugar roses!

I was playing with taking pictures and this one almost has an ethereal feel to it!  The lighting was perfect!
Natural sunlight for a different look
One more look at this cute cluster!  Congratulations Brittany and Matt!!!  What a gorgeous couple you are!

Ivory Ruffle and Jewels Wedding Cake

I've never been shy to tell people that I don't really love making wedding cakes, but this one was really fun for me.  I was given the color of ivory and a couple pictures and I just went with it.  I LOVE creating a different, original look for each bride.  And even the birthday cakes.  My biggest goal is to make something unique to that individual.  I've seen LOTS of cakes with the ruffles like this, so I tried to just break it up a little bit with the ruffles and jewels.
And yes, the fabulous Brandi took pictures for me again!  Please, please go check out her website to see how multi-talented she is!! http://www.teuscherphotography.com/
The little silver balls are edible, but the 'diamonds' are little stickers that I used to create the broaches.
Isn't is just so pretty?!  I really loved this cake so much!

Sometimes it's just fun for me to do a totally girly cake!  And this would be one of those times!  Congratulations Cooper and Aubri!  I loved making a cake for your special day!!

Pretty Skulls Wedding Cake

I know I know.  Pretty and Skulls don't really go together.  And believe me, I've been in the catacombs so I know how freaky real skulls can be!!  But this wedding cake was such a delight to make!  I loved making the skulls and hand painting them.  The bride was so fun to work with and it was a joy every step of the way!

Modeling chocolate roses again.  I loved the purple the bride chose!
Isn't it fun how there is one masculine skull and one feminine one?!

This is the set up we did in Brandi's studio because I didn't want to set up the whole cupcake stand.  I loved how her lace burlap tied in so well with what the bride actually set up at her wedding!

The cake all set up at the wedding.  It was truly neat to watch the bride and groom get married.  I don't usually get invited to the ceremony for my brides.  They are so in love!!
Congratulations Jamie and Andrew!!

Lace Piping White and Red Wedding Cake

This photo is NOT good quality, and I'm bummed you can't see all the detail in the piping on this cake, but this was the best my camera would do.  It's really starting to shut down on me.  This wedding cake was based on the lace on the bride's veil.  It took quite a while, but it was worth it in the end!

Purple Textured Frosting Wedding Cake

I've never done textured frosting and it was so fun trying a new technique.  Getting the color just right was probably the hardest part, but I finally got it right.  The ivory flower was my favorite part; I'm quite partial to making sugar flowers!  The bride was a dream to work with and was such a sweetheart!!  I've been pretty lucky to have such incredible brides to make cakes for!

Yet again my fabulous photographer, Brandi, took these pictures.  She's really kind of spoiling me!  Here's her site if you ever need family photos or any other photos you can think of!  : http://www.teuscherphotography.com/
The bride was so sweet and wanted to include her groom with this edible little Harley Davidson logo on the back of the cake.  Made with modeling chocolate and hand painted letters!

Brandi is so awesome to get these unique views of the cake!  I love how she was able to capture the swirls I did on the top of the cake even.  I actually had to do the texture on this cake twice because the first time it just didn't have quite enough texture.  I was really happy with how it ended up.  Such a fun, rustic idea for a cake!
